APPLICATIONS: AUTO MOTOR CONTROL

  • DC/DC power converters:

    DC/DC power converters are required in environmentally friendly cars and trucks that operate at different voltage levels. Most loads run at 12V or 24V, while traction motors require higher voltages.

    High-frequency resonant converters are being used, which necessitates fast current sensors.

    Automotive motor control applications include:

    - Electric and hybrid vehicle motor converters

    - Other electric converters

    - DC/DC power converters

    Electric and hybrid vehicle motor:

    For electric and hybrid vehicle motor converters, high-power motors (50kW or more) and 3 to 6-phase inverters are used to drive traction motors and generator motors.

    There is a growing demand for fast-current sensors due to the trend of selecting high frequencies and smooth waveforms.
