Using Hall Effect Sensors to Measure Voltage
Optimized Hall Effect voltage sensors are used to measure small currents resulting from the voltage applied to a circuit with a large resistor.
In practical applications, the resistor is typically divided in two, with the Hall Effect voltage sensor placed in the middle to enhance common mode rejection. The closed-loop Hall Effect provides a cost-effective and versatile solution for voltage measurement.
LADAR offers a wide range of industry-standard Hall voltage sensors for isolated voltage measurement. The wide range of products measures a wide range of voltages and uses a variety of technologies including Hall Effect.

Hall Voltage Sensor:
How is it different from the Hall Current Sensor?
In fact, there is no difference between current sensors and voltage sensors. Both are considered current sensors. The difference lies in construction and the number of turns of the primary coil.
In current sensors, the primary coil has only one turn, while the primary coil of voltage sensors has a large number of turns (on average 1000 turns). In addition, instead of measuring wide currents, voltage sensors can be used to measure very low currents in the range of 0.01 mA.
